This is a 2 ply yarn that I hand dyed in hot pink, mauve, and dark greyed brown. One ply is a thick and thin cotton and it dyed up nicely. The other ply is a white synthetic thread that did not take the dye. This gives the yarn a heather effect.
Each skein is 400 yards and weighs about 1.9 ounces. The yarn wraps at 21 WPI and is a fingering weight. This yarn will work well for knitting, crochet, and other fiber crafts. Would be good for the weft in weaving.
Hand wash cold. Dry flat or hang. I use color-fast dyes and rinse many times, but there could still be some excess dye. I recommend using a color catcher as needed.
