Hand-dyed, pre-wound weaving warp, 10/3 cotton, 300 ends, 7 3/4 yards long, in shades of greens, reds, and brown -108
This warp is wound and ready to go on the loom. I dyed the warp after winding it. The colors are bright green, spring green, khaki green, olive, yellow-green, red, brick red, dark rust, sepia, and brown. There are a few small areas that are white where the dye did not dye. With the way that I dye my warps the colors do not generally occur across the entire warp. You can get some of the appearance of a shifted warp without shifting. The placement of colors just happen where they will, there is no planning. Look at listings of my scarves for examples.
The yarn for this warp is 10/3 cotton with approximately 2750 yards per pound and 32 wraps per inch. There are 300 ends and it is 7 3/4 yards long. The cross is tied and there is a choke tie near each end and a tie in the loops at each end. I try and catch all knots but since I might have missed one, I include at least two extra warp threads. I recommend saving them for repair threads as needed.
I use color-fast dyes and wash and rinse many times. Since there could still be some excess dye, especially with dark or bright colors, I recommend using a color catcher as needed.
